Sulphured Dried Apricots

Dried Uzbek Apricots

About Uzbek Dried Apricots

Sourced from the fertile orchards of both the Fergana Valley and the Samarkand region, our dried apricots benefit from the diverse climates and rich soils of these renowned agricultural areas. The Fergana Valley is known for its lush, fruit-producing landscapes, while Samarkand, with its ancient trade routes, has long been a center of agriculture and commerce.

We export two distinct varieties of sulphured dried apricots. Our primary stock is the Subkhona variety, a favorite in Uzbekistan, distinguished by its vibrant orange color, rich, full-bodied flavor, and firm yet tender texture. Subkhona apricots are carefully cultivated to meet the high standards expected by professionals in the food industry.

In addition to Subkhona, we offer a lighter yellow variety, similar to Malatya apricots, which provides an alternative color profile while maintaining the same high quality.

Whether for retail, culinary, or wholesale purposes, our dried apricots deliver exceptional quality to meet the needs of discerning buyers.

Our Sulfuring Drying Method

At the heart of our process for delivering premium-quality dried apricots is the use of sulfuring, a widely recognized method that enhances both the appearance and shelf life of the product. This process involves treating the apricots with sulfur dioxide (SO₂), which serves multiple essential functions.

Firstly, sulfuring helps accelerate the drying process, ensuring that moisture levels are reduced efficiently without compromising the fruit’s texture. Secondly, it plays a vital role in preserving the apricots’ vibrant color, preventing the natural darkening that often occurs during drying. This treatment also acts as a protective barrier against insect infestations, further safeguarding the integrity of the product.

To maintain the highest standards of safety and quality, the sulfur dioxide content in our apricots is meticulously regulated, with levels not exceeding 2000 ppm (parts per million). This careful control ensures that the product not only meets international food safety standards but also retains its exceptional taste, texture, and visual appeal over time.

By using this sulfuring method, we are able to offer a product that delivers consistent quality, with the rich flavor and bright, appetizing appearance that make our apricots a standout choice for professional buyers in the food industry.
